This will be arguably the strongest cards of the year in the UK. This event will feature the finals for all 6 weight divisions in the Grand Prix competition. It will also feature Heavyweight, Light heavyweight and Lightweight UC MMA belts and the much anticipated UC MMA UK1 Welterweight Title bout.
Karlos Vemola V Neil Grove
The Current UC MMA Heavyweight champion, Neil Grove is defending his belt against the current undefeated CFC Heavyweight Champion Karlos Vemola, in what is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated heavyweight fights of the year. Both fighters will be full of confidence, with Neil Grove smashing his last opponent in only 53 seconds of the first round and Karlos Vemola, who is unbeaten in his professional career and already holds the CFC belt.
Shaun Lomas V Jimi Manuwa
This fight was born out of bad blood between these 2 warriors. Shaun Lomas taunted Manuwa after his win over Luke Blyth, saying that he wouldn’t be able to stand toe to toe with someone who had his knockout power. Manuwa will be looking to make his 2nd title defence after his devastating knockout of Luke Blyth. I cant see this one going the distance and both fighters will be definitely swinging for the fences when that bell rings!
Tam Khan V Jack Mason
The bout is for the Grand Prix Middleweight Title. Both fighters have great jiu jitsu, with Khan coming off the back of a win over Ben Craggy with a text book guillotine choke and Mason having over 3 quarters of his wins via submissions. This on paper looks like a very even fight. Do you think their ground games will cancel each other out and they’ll choose to keep it standing in a slugfest? Leave your comments below with your views.
Michael Pastou V Francis Heagney Mark Glover
The injured champ Francis Heagney has been replaced by Mark Glover, in what is now to be the interim Lightweight Title bout. Michael Pastou trains at the respected Team Titan Gym, with fighters such as the talented Jason Young. Team Titan produce some very tough and fit fighters and Michael will be a great matchup for 4-0-0 Mark Glover, who trains at Liverpool Martial Arts Academy.
